Facilities

Digital equipment:

CNC milling machine, CNC styrofoam cutter, 2D laser cutter, 3D printer, Plaster 3D printer, Computer pool, 3D modelling, Video conferencing, Video editing, Virtual reality laboratory (DAVE)

Analog equipment:

Modelling workshop, Screen printing workshop, Intaglio print workshop, Photography laboratory, Bronze casting workshop

International focus

With its participation in partnerships, cooperation agreements, alliances and networks, the Department of Architecture at Braunschweig has excellent links at the international level. This is reflected in the university’s everyday work by the large number of design and research projects with an international focus, in which the department collaborates with partner universities abroad, and the transnational and cross-disciplinary exchange of students, lecturers and researchers.

The internationally focused Architecture+ Bachelor’s programme will launch in the 2011/12 winter semester. A particular highlight of this 4-year degree course is the integrated year abroad that students spend at one of TU Braunschweig’s prestigious partner universities.
During this year abroad, taken in semesters 5 and 6 of their degree, students have the opportunity to acquire professional intercultural skills. They are free to choose the structure and content of courses.
